Now Hiring: a student Team Supporter!

Left Turn Right Turn (LTRT) is a rapidly growing consulting firm. Responsibilities 

The Student Team Supporter is a versatile, detail-oriented position where you’ll have the opportunity to learn in-depth about administration. This person joins our enthusiastic and engaged back-office team in keeping the operations of LTRT running smoothly. For this position, we’re looking for students and early-career workers interested in an opportunity to gain first-hand experience. Candidates should be in Toronto or Montreal.  

You’ll work with our combined accessibility and transit teams, and your work will help each of the respective teams to make significant and meaningful change in their fields. You will tackle a wide variety of administrative tasks, applying your smarts, experience, and creativity. The theme that underpins your work is details, details, details – formatting documents, data entry, resource coordination, and more.  


Your responsibilities would include: 

  • Format documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external use, checking for accessibility, brand guideline adherence, grammar, and other details 
  • Develop and maintain resumes for our many ongoing and diverse projects 
  • Helping to update databases, ensuring that information is organized and accessible  
  • Pitching in to create web and social media content  
  • Supporting on complex scheduling of meetings and events 
  • Coordinate with other Team Supporters to develop and update LTRT policies, and develop new administrative processes 
  • Help coordinate office activities, events, and operations 
  • Sending your best GIFs to the Team Supporter chat 
  • And much, much more – including seeking your input about your work! 


This is a work from home position as LTRT does not currently maintain permanent office space, with opportunities for in-person gathering (for work or socializing) in Toronto or Montreal. 


Here’s some examples of how we are improving our communities: 

  • We are crafting Niagara Transit’s first-ever Transit Master Plan, proving the value of improved regional services and integration for residents, visitors and businesses. 
  • We developed a strategy for BC Transit on how its specialized services for customers with disabilities should be delivered consistently across the province. 
  • We engaged with community partners, stakeholders and residents in Charlottetown to develop a transformative Transit Master Plan for the Prince Edward Island Capital Area. 
  • We recruited and worked with people with disabilities to test proposed new signage at the National Gallery of Canada. We then made recommendations to improve its accessibility. 
  • We worked with three municipalities in the Saanich Peninsula to assess their current accessibility, engage with people with disabilities, and develop plans on how to make improvements in the next three years. 
  • We assessed the hiring, retention, and accommodation processes of a major manufacturer and recommended improvements. 


Qualifications 

Do you have some or all of the following? 

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 
  • Strong writing and critical thinking skills 
  • Strong organizational skills  
  • Independent worker, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines 
  • Self-motivated and accountable  


Nice to Haves: 

  • Social Media content creation experience, with a knack for creating a consistent tone and voice (check out our LinkedIn page for more info). 
  • Additional language skills are valued: French, ASL, LSQ, Indigenous languages, etc. 
  • Experience using Asana or other similar project management software is beneficial. 
  • A fun, easy going attitude, as well as interests and hobbies!

This position is for 14-16 weeks between the months of May and August. Compensation for this position is  $24 per hour, based on a 37.5 hour week.
